Tastemakers Guide to Wine

How’s your wine game?  Are you sipping on vintage blends or getting by with the two buck chuck?   For all our tastemakers, here’s the guide to wine selection and pairing.

[pull_quote]Experiencing wine is all about your senses; we experience wine through sight, smell, and taste.[/pull_quote]

Selecting the right wine can be a challenge from understanding your palette cravings to connecting those cravings to a wine that embodies those notes and lets not even talk about pairings.

The Art of Wine

Basquiat 50 cent Piece

Wine like Art, can be appreciated and interpreted differently amongst people. However, when selecting a wine, refer to professional ratings and reviews from Wine Spectator or Wine Enthusiast and try to stay above 90 score. You don’t want to purchase a $50 bottle of wine that is rated lower than a $10 bottle of wine.

Side note: Wine Spectator editors review more than 15000 wines each year in blind tastings, assigning scores on a 100-point scale

[text_box title="" icon=""]Jay-Z isn’t the only celebrity getting royalties from the wine industry, Lil John has his own winery, Little Jonathan Wineries.   Real Housewives of Atlanta Nene Leekes and Cynthia Bailey are releasing two Moscato lines and not jointly, its just a coincidence because Moscato is very popular.  Nelly’s St Lunatics have another Moscato named “Freaky Muscato”..um ok, can’t help but think the St Ives of Wine *”at yo neighborhood liquor sto.” But you can’t judge a wine on the design of a bottle or even its name.[/text_box]
